Description
Bravo to Mike and Bryan for creating one of the best animated TV series EVER. It set a new standard for what can be done in TV animation, and hopefully will inspire others to create shows of equal awesomeness. When it comes to plot and theme and really every element of storytelling, Avatar is one of the best. I'm sad it's over, but I am left feeling completely satisfied.
The battle between Azula and Zuko was really what I had been waiting for. Great animation and music made for a very powerful scene. It made you realize that Azula is ultimately more pitiful than frightening, and that even after all the evil she has done, she is still Zuko's sister; to watch the siblings fight to the death was really sad.
And did I mention, crazy bitch Azula was awesome??
I think seeing The Joker in the Dark Knight right before watching the finale really put me in the mood for crazy people. :-P
